Story

Howdy y'all,

Thanks for taking the time to look at my page, and if you are just having a look and thinking 'oh I'll sponsor Sid another time' I have your name and number and will be sending reminders monthy, you'll give in eventually!! :-)

I wanted to do something this year to get me off the sofa, away from watching Greys Anatomy and eating Ben and Jerrys Cookie Dough ice cream, so what better way then to do a half marathon. I think I deserve sponsorship alone for attempting to run this crazy 13.1miler 5 days after my 25th Birthday on 25th Sept (no Jagerbombs this year, have to wait till the weekend after!)

I will be doing the 'Run to the Beat' half marathon for the amazing charity I work for Grove House Hospice, which helps people suffering with Cancer and other life limiting illnesses. (Soon to be Iain Rennie Grove House Hospice Care) I have never met a lovelier bunch of people in one building before. The nurses are always smiling (some even sing) and you hear some brilliant stories from patients about how they have helped them through some of the toughest times in their lives. Some people don't really know about the fantastic work that goes on round St Albans and the surrounding areas with the help of Grove House and its team of nurses. It's a hidden gem and we are lucky to have such an amazing service in our community!

So dig deep, I'm setting my target of £500 (hoping to smash it) which I think is pretty reachable, with your help!! I'm not asking for much, but as you are typing in the amount just think of me, hauling my ass round the streets of London for what looks like 2 hours worth of running in the name of charity, when you know I would much rather have my heels on, drink in hand and be dancing like a maniac to Swedish House Mafia!!

Thanks very much peeps!!

Sinead xxx

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
