We bring advanced care by land and air 24/7 to save lives and reduce disability

Story

A bunch or runners we are not, a Rugby Club we are so what better event to enter to challenge ourselves and raise funds for an invaluable charity in the process than a local 10k run.

MAGPAS Air Ambulance is a charity, which brings essential lifesaving care by land and air to patients in life-threatening emergencies in the East of England and beyond. Entirely self-sufficient with no state funding, MAGPAS Air Ambulance relies on medical professionals donating their time and expertise and generous public donations to continue saving lives.

When raising this challenge, I only expected 3 or 4 to take part however, the response was unexpected and one that reminds us all of why we love Kempston Rugby Club. We have a total of 15 members of the club, players, staff and supporters, all taking part and all ranging in abilities.

With C25K programmes started and Park Runs becoming regular for some, training is well underway to help us smash our £1500 target for the first fund raising event of the season.

Thank you for visiting our fund raising page and any sponsors toward our goal for this incredible charity is greatly appreciated by MAGPAS, the patients lives that they touch and us here at Kempston Rugby Club.

Please also feel free to come and support on the evening! Bedford Twilight 10k, part of Bedford Running Festival, 31st August 2019, 17:30. Priory Marina.
