My story

In a moment of overzealous enthusiasm and temporary madness, we signed up to participate on one of Liquid Capital’s teams taking part in the 15 Peaks Challenge (also known as the Welsh 3,000s), in aid of HOPEHIV.

Over the past 4 years, we at Liquid have seen first hand the difference HOPEHIV and its inspiring work has made to the lives of children affected by HIV/AIDS inAfrica.  Unfortunately, due to the recent economic climate, several of their projects are in jeopardy and so we’d like your support in helping us raise some of the additional funds needed for the following:

-          Child rights clubs and advocacy work in schools and communities in Kenya

-          Vocational skills training for young people in refugee camps in northern Uganda

-          Training former street kids to work as health peer educators on the streets of Zimbabwe

-          Community kids’ clubs in Tanzania, which, as well as providing play and counselling, help orphan households and guardians find ways of generating income

The 15 Peaks Challenge is not your average walk in the park – we’ll be climbing 15 Peaks (including 14,000 feet of ascent and descent) and hiking over 30 miles, in just 24 hours.  Whether you sponsor us per peak scaled, mile completed, or hour walked, we hope you will help us make this physically demanding and mentally challenging event truly valuable.

Please visit www.hopehiv.org/15peaks for more information.

Thank you!

Susanna, Emma, Katarina, Alistair, and Chris
