Story
Scheduled for 7-11 December 2011 at the gallery@oxo on the South Bank in London, 17 is a new exhibition exploring the issues around stillbirth and early neo natal death. The exhibition visually documents what is happen in 21 century Britain and asks us to look at 17 photos of women in the flush of pregnancy who are, tragically, about to lose their babies. This is the number of babies that are either stillborn or die within the first 4 weeks of life every day in the UK; that is 6,205 a year. The exhibition has already been featured in Graiza, the Daily Mail and by Gaby Logan on Channel 5.

Once we have covered the London exhibition costs, additional funds will go to promote and exhibit the photos in other locations. Any surplus funds will go to the valuable work being conducted by Sands.
