<p><span style="color: #333333; font-size: 12px; text-align: left; background-color: #ffffff;">Trailwalker was originally started by the Queens Gurkha Signals Regiment over 30 years ago as a training exercise to test soldiers’ stamina and teamwork skills. The Challenge is to complete the 100km Trailwalker trail, across the South Downs, in under 30 hours in teams of four.</span></p>
<p>This year 1 RGR will be entering 5 team:</p>
<p>Gurkha Girls - Belinda Robinson, Agata Burton, Angelina Chandler and Rebecca Johnston. </p>
<p>Gurkha Ladies - Nutan Gurung, Durga Gurung, Laxima Gurung and Suzita Gurung. </p>
<p>1RGR Officers - Ed Latham, Sandy Nightengale and other names to follow. </p>
<p>1RGR Soldiers - Jez England and other names to follow.</p>
<p>1RGR Injured Soldiers (all personnel inured in Afghanistan 2010) - Charlie Russell, Alex Brown and other names to follow. </p>

Funds raised through Trailwalker 2012 will help provide clean, safe drinking water and sanitation facilities in numerous Gurkha villages.</p>

Funds raised through Trailtrekker 2012 are especially valuable to Oxfam as they are not tied to a particular project. This allows Oxfam to use the funds where they are needed most – such as the East Africa food crisis, affecting over 13 million people.</p>
