Dear All
I am riding my bike round the world in memory of my school friend & best man Steve Buttery who passed away on 6- April- 09 after putting up a very brave fight against Pancreatic cancer
Starting 4th June I will be attempting to ride my motorbike round the world. Following a similar route that Ewan McGregor & Charlie Boorman took on there Long Way Round tour. The challenge is to complete this 20,000mile adventure, starting from Stafford & arriving in New York 4 months later. The route will take me through France,Belgium,Germany,Czech Republic,Slovakia,Hungary,Romania,
Bulgaria,Turkey,Iran,Turkmenistan,Uzbekistan,Kyrgyzstan,Kazakhstan,
Russia,Mongolia,Siberia,Korea,South Korea,Canada,Alaska,America & home. I will be part of a team of 12 other riders with one support vehicle. I am currently preparing my bike for the trip & having training for mechanical repairs, Off road riding, First aid, etc, Upon arrival in New York (and after a small celebration) My bike will be be freighted and flown back to the UK. This will be a amazing experience please be part of it and help this very worthwhile charity
All of the costs for this trip have been paid for by myself. There can not be many families that are untouched by cancer. This charity works tirelessly to help the people with this terminal disease. Please help any money raised will go straight to the good work of the Charity.
