Story
.In the name of God, the most Gracious, the Most merciful.
As some of you may be aware, on the 26th of June 2019, we lost a precious member of our community to cancer, Aunty Sifraj, mother of Toiba, Abdul Raheem & Amir Khan. Despite the efforts of medical professionals, the damage induced by the cancer was irreversible and she lost her battle.
Sifraj passed away peacefully with her loved ones around her. Her loss has devastated us all and there is no doubt that she will be missed by everyone. We pray that Allah grants her the highest level of jannah and patience to her family who have been extremely strong throughout this.
Sifraj was a dedicated mother, having lived through a difficult marriage and raising three children on her own with very little support, her compassion, generosity and enthusiasm will never be forgotten and we thought what better way to commemorate her than to feed 200 Syrian refugee families in Jordan who suffer from extreme levels of poverty. Indeed, it is a fitting legacy for someone who was loved so much by family and the community.
"When a man passes away, his good deeds will also come to an end except for three: Sadaqah Jariyah (ceaseless charity); a knowledge which is beneficial, or a virtuous descendant who prays for him (for the deceased)" Narrated by Abu Hurairah, Sahih Muslim
On behalf of Aunty Sifraj we would therefore like to raise money for 200 food packs for Syrian refugees in Jordan and urge everyone to make a small donation. If you are unable to make a donation, please share this page with as many people as you possibly can.
We require 200 people to make a donation of £60 to reach this target.
To Allah we belong and to Allah we return.
