This is a web page in honour of our mate Dave Moulder of Devon.

He is a regular and commited athlete, and was last week diagnosed with cancer of the throat. A regular contributor to the Runners World Website, he uses the on line name of 200 minutes as a personal motivation, in this case as a target for his next marathon.

On Thursday 10th August he will be going to hospital to start the treatment course. All his on line friends, mates, acquaintances, and correspondents have decided that we will collectively run 200 miles in his honour as a vote of solidarity. Even though we exist as a virtual community, this does not preclude us from doing something in practice. Somehow this germ of an idea snowballed by the power of the net and in a period of 2 weeks we have a large team assembled, everyone motivated, and the money rolling in.

Although we have adopted funny names, we are real live people with feelings too. Just like you, it hurts when we run into a lamp post.
