The team will attempt to climb Ben Nevis, Scaffel Pike and Snowdon in 24 hours. The team includes Kev who is Maria's fiancée and Cathy's future son in law (an endurance test to get him into the family!!). Thank you for all donations and sponsorship. If you want to read more about exactly what the challenge involves, see here www.thethreepeakschallenge.co.uk
-------------
HCPT Group 206 was set up in 1999 by members of the Brentwood Catholic Youth Service (BCYS) who wanted to experience Lourdes with their own family group, having travelled as a support group for many years. The debut pilgrimage to Lourdes by the Group was in 2000. Since then, the Group have travelled every year since. Based in and around the Brentwood Diocese area, helpers & children are drawn from Colchester, Billericay, Romford, Grays, Southend and South and East London.
The HCPT takes thousands of children with disabilities or other special needs on a pilgrimage holiday to Lourdes in France. The children travel in small family-style groups with experienced volunteer helpers, doctors, nurses and chaplains. Helpers pay for themselves, but all children are paid for through fundraising by the Trust and by helpers in each group.
Group 206 takes a mixed group of 6-8 young people each year to Lourdes for a week they will never forget. It cost around £710 to take each child in 2011 (hence our initial target to fund two children).
