The Wacky Races is a team treasure hunting event held every summer in the UK. Each team has a different fancy dress theme and of course a vehicle of any description to reach the final destination.
Wacky Races 2011 - Saturday 1st October – destination Witney
2010 event raised over £7,000 for The Anthony Nolan Trust. Over the last 8 years we have a raised over £23,500 for charity. All money raised goes directly to the charity. This year we are supporting St Thomas Lupus Trust.
How the races work:
- There are 10 challenges for each team to attempt - you win points for completing each of them. Extra points will be awarded where a challenge is completed in a wacky way - don’t forget points do win prizes (maybe not the greatest prizes!). Unless stated, challenges can be attempted anywhere throughout the journey. You are given your destination at the start of the race. It is essential to have a digital camera to record your challenges, evidence will be used for judging. You must reach the final destination by 6pm or 100 points is deducted from your total score.
- Judging is done by the panel of highly skilled judges (a good chance to see what everyone has been up to!).
