Alecia's RM WAGS 2015 Calendar Fundraising Page

RM WAGS 2015 Calendar · 8 June 2014
The Royal Marines Charitable Trust Fund is a charity close to our hearts and the hearts of many RM families across the UK & Commonwealth.
This fundraising page is dedicated to raising money for The Royal Marines Charitable Trust Fund by taking part in & organising several fundraising events throughout the year to mark the 350th Birthday of The Corps.
Fundraising was initiated by taking part as 'Miss October' in the 2015 wives and girlfriends pin-up calendar. The calendar shoot is now done and the calendar will be on sale later this year so watch this space! It's the only Military Related 'Pin-Up' Calendar that solely features real wives & girlfriends of service personnel. The calendar is set up & run by The RMWags Calendar Support Network which is an online support network set up & run by partners, for partners. With over 400 members fundraising is key to bringing us all together.
This year I have qualified as a Trauma Risk Practicioner for Royal Marines Veterans (www.trim4veterans.org) and this venture is partly funded by the RMCTF. All TRiM work is done on a voluntary basis and it's an incredibly important set up in it's infancy that requires all our support.
Ethan, my 9 year old son, is a Royal Marines Cadet & he has decided he wants in on the fundraising. He was really keen to help me smash my target and asked what he could do to help. He decided on shaving his head! The head shave is due to take place 26th June & all funds raised will be added to this target. He is terrified of hair clippers & has beautiful thick hair so this is a really big deal for him. His hair is SO thick that it hurts him to wash it and have it cut so his new motto is 'No pain, no gain'!
Ethan and I are also pledging to do several collections & bag packs at local supermarkets to help raise public awareness for The RMCTF.
I'm taking part in the 10k Commando Challenge, Captaining the team of RM wives & partners (www.justgiving.com/10kBootneckettes2014) Money raised for this event will be shared equally between The Devon Air Ambulance & The Royal Marines Charitable Trust Fund so we have a separate JG page for that.
Finally, there's a skydive which I have been signed up for . . . details to follow!
Other girls in the support Network including some other calendar girls are also taking part in the infamous 'Gibraltar Rock Run' and also 'Survive The Yomp', so don't forget to follow the group efforts.
