Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

On the 9th July 2010 Paul Reader & Ben Kay will embark on a 20 Hour endurance run along the South Downs Way(SDW). Starting in Winchester at 4am in the morning. The intrepid runners will aim to cover as many miles as humanly possible before the 20 hours elapse at Midnight, with the ultimate target of reaching Eastbourne some 100 miles away, at the other end of the South Downs Way.

The pair came up with the idea after learning that "Canine Partners" (a charity known to them from previous events) is celebrating its 20th Anniversary this year with a campaign that encourages supporters to do anything that involved "20" to raise much needed funds (Collect 20p's for the year, Donate £20, Give up drinking for 20 days and donate the money saved etc...........or run for 20 hours!!!!)

Paul & Ben know that completing the hilly route on foot and within the 20 hours will be a very tall order but will be trying to cover as many miles as possible............

Your support of the event with a donation (no matter how small) would be a great help to Canine Parnters whilst encouraging the pair to push to cover as many miles as possible within the time........

You can show your support in one of the following ways:

1.   A simple donation on this page that reflects the stupidity of the event !!!

2.   Pledge an amount / mile completed within the 20 Hour time limit.

3.   Predict the miles covered during The 20HourChallenge in the "Mileage Sweep Stake" (£5/Guess)

So please dig deep and donate now.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.
