This is a healthcare partnership between Ghana Health Service, the child rights charity Afrikids and University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust.</span></p> <p><span style="color: #ff0000;">It aims to improve healthcare provision in the Upper East Region (UER) of Ghana, where currently 1 in 9 children currently die before&nbsp;their fifth birthday.&nbsp;</span></p> <p><span style="color: #ff0000;">Staff from Southampton are working closely with staff in Ghana to build their capacity, strenghtening manpower and promoting skill sharing to enhance the healthcare of the region.</span></p> <p><span style="color: #0000ff;">On 20th February, I will be travelling to the UER with my colleague Dr Catherine Grierson (Consultant Radiologist) in order to continue the work of the G.A.S Partnership</span></p> <p>Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
