21 a day for Down's Syndrome Awareness week (DSA) · 20 March 2016

Children and adults with Down’s syndrome are all unique individuals with their own personalities, family backgrounds and preferences that make them who they are. We aim to create the conditions that all people with Down’s syndrome need to live full and rewarding lives.

Story

I want to celebrate people with Down’s Syndrome while at the same time promoting awareness and raising money for two exceptional causes.

As part of Down’s Syndrome Awareness week 2016 I will be attempting to run 21 kilometres a day for five days, cycle 121km on the roads and finish off the week with a 21 mile off road mountain bike ride.

I will be trying to fit this in with my work schedule and so I will be running in Cardiff, London and Amsterdam. The bike rides will be a little closer to home, in Cardiff and the surrounding area.

I will be raising money for two great causes:

The South East Wales Down’s Syndrome Support Group

 The Down’s Syndrome Association

Both of these charities help celebrate people with Down’s Syndrome, helping them participate in their community and provide support to them and their families when and where it is needed.
