Chris Leonard and Mundia Miles of Emerald Publishing's Product team harbour a late night secret...playing records at loud volumes and at inconsiderate times. In honour of Emerald Publishing's 50th Anniversary, they decided to band together with some like minded people (Nahid Khan, Matt Rubrick, Mike Curtis) to push themselves, and their ears, to new limits by DJing for 24 hours. 

On Friday 1st  September, five DJs will be playing vinyl, CDs and digital files live via YouTube, non-stop over a 24 hour period. In order to assist them in this sleep depriving challenge, they would be most grateful for any donations to Heart Research UK you can muster via this JustGiving page.

In February, 2014, Martin Fojt (Chairman of Emerald Publishing) suffered a sudden and fatal heart attack, which was a huge surprise and loss to all at Emerald Publishing. Sudden Cardiac Death (SDC) of this type is responsible for over 3 million deaths per year, worldwide and is the focus of a specific piece of research that we will support this year.
