We’re the only charity fighting to end child abuse in the UK and Channel Islands. That’s why we help children who’ve been abused to rebuild their lives, we protect children at risk, and we find the best ways of preventing child abuse from ever happening.

Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It's also the most efficient way to sponsor me: NSPCC gets your money faster and, if you're a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!

So, what am I doing, and why?

I'm planning to travel as far as possible by train in a 24-hour period.

I can now reveal that Del’s 24hr Charity Challenge will begin at Plymouth station at 23.51 on 15th September 2009 and finish at Rugby at 23.43 the following night. - You can follow my progress by Twitter: http://twitter.com/24hoursbytrain

Total miles - 1381.5

And, why not? I have never done any kind of charity challenge before, and as I come steaming up to the 40-year mark, I thought it'd be a good thing to do.

AND my employers, Network Rail, will match whatever I raise. The NSPCC is their featured charity for this year & next year. My just-started blog is here: http://24hoursbytrain.wordpress.com/
