Story
Last year Elaine and I from M&S Douglas store walked 30 miles to raise money for Macmillan. This year unfortunately we won’t be doing anything so adventurous however our team at M&S are doing fantastic things to raise money and encourage others to join in. Myself, Daniel and Abbie will be camping out at witch’s hill for a night, hopefully we won’t get rolled down the hill to take the witch’s test! Marie is doing a sponsored weight loss, there’s also an amazing 80’s night party at the yacht club in which 100% of the funds go to Macmillan. Plus throughout the month of September there will be plenty of exciting things happening within our cafe. Of which is a competition to win a kids hamper, bring the kids in and get them drawing for our coffee bean competition or ‘find the bean’ game! While you’re there why not try the wonderful Macmillan cake or buy a one of the Macmillan pin badges to wear to show your support. With every Macmillan merchandise purchase in the M&S Douglas cafe there’s also a chance to win a free drink too!
I personally want to help raise money for Macmillan cancer support after having lost my grandfather to cancer, he lost his battle aged 72. Macmillan were a great support and help for us at this time through the many treatments and the loss. So I would love to give something back and help other people.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.Fundraising is hugely important to Macmillan. Without people doing events, running marathons, climbing mountains, and donating in all the other ways that you can, Macmillan wouldn’t exist.Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
