On 27th June 2009 four novices: John Croasdale, Steve Croasdale, Jason Walker and Mark Shapland are going to mangle their legs and feet by trying to walk the Yorkshire Three Peaks in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.

The Yorkshire Three Peaks Walk is a very demanding walk, which takes in the summits of Pen-y-ghent (2,276 feet), Whernside (2,415 feet) and Ingleborough (2,372 feet)
The walk is 24.5 miles long and takes in over 5,000 feet of climbing. The walking is over a variety of terrains, sections can be very boggy and energy sapping.
