On the 3rd of June Staff Sergeant Dave Parkin, Staff Sergeant Rob Short, Sergeant Steve Gaze and Lance Corporal Chris Parkes of Aldershot based 27 Regiment will be cycling from Llandudno on the north coast of Wales to Cardiff on the south coast, a total distance of just over 190 miles.

Each of us will ride the full distance leaving the sea front in Llandudno at 4:30 am and arriving in Cardiff Bay approximately 7:00 pm, taking about 14 1/2 hours which includes the occasional stop to refuel.

We aim to raise at least £5000 for the charity Help For Heroes. This is a fantastic charity which gives the support our servicemen and women who are injured in Afghanistan and Iraq really deserve.
