Our challenge is to complete a sponsored cycle ride from Guernsey to Biarritz (omitting the wet bit between Guernsey and France!).

Our aim is to complete the ride over a period of six days using a mixture of roads and gravel cycle paths (voies vertes).

We will be travelling without a support vehicle, the plan being to carry what we need on the bike and staying in a hotel or B&B each evening, at our expense.

The distance travelled will be approximately 550 to 600 miles although this has yet to be confirmed and is likely to vary slightly depending on our ability to read a map or argue with the sat nav!

We are both keen cyclists already, although one of us may need to make an effort to get a bit fitter! We feel that our chosen route and timescale represents a fair challenge.
