Tearfund is a Christian charity working in 50 countries where conflict, climate disaster and injustice push millions of people into extreme poverty. We equip and enable people to take control of their own lives, so they can build the future they want for themselves and their community.

We plan to start from Cape Wrath, the most north-westerly point of the British mainland and drive to the Cape of Good Hope, a journey of approximately 12,000 miles.

Our intended route will take us through Scotland, Belgium, France, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Syria, Jordan, Egypt, Sudan, Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi, Mozambique, Swaziland and South Africa. Of-course we reserve the right to change our route as we go along – so watch this space!

Although we are journeying to Africa, we are spending a lot of time in Europe and the Middle East first. This is intentional – we are looking forward to the pre-Africa part of our journey too.

We are setting off in April 2007 and aim to arrive at the Cape at the end of October 2007 – 7 months of adventuring.
