RNLI volunteer lifeboat crews provide a 24-hour search and rescue service all around the UK and Ireland, while lifeguards keep a careful watch on the UK’s busiest beaches. RNLI lifesaving and drowning prevention depend on supporter fundraising and the generous donations that you and others give.

Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor us online.

Myself (Charlie Sproat) and Chris Osbourne aim to mount a challenge in the 2009 Woodvale Atlantic Rowing Race. We will be rowing around 3000 miles from the Canaries to the Carribean, this challenge will take us around 2 months to complete and is reguarded as one of the toughest tests of human endurance in the world.

Please See our website for more information www.2madrowers.com

As keen watersports entheusiasts both Chris and I are aware of the importance of the RNLI in saving lives at sea in UK waters. Although neither myself (Charlie) or Chris have ever had to call on the services of the RNLI (YET!) we recognise the importance of their presence and the dedication and bravery shown by their crew and hope that we can help ensure the RNLI are always there to keep us safe at sea.

We are also rowing to raise money for Transplant Sport UK. If you would like to donate to his charity as well/instead please see www.justgiving.com/2madrowers

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: RNLI - Royal National Lifeboat Institution will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor us now!

Many thanks for your support.
