The event is not original but the method is. To ride from John O Groats to Lands End (approx 900 miles) in 10 days on a tandem bike but this bike is unique. Its a recumbent but the cyclists ride back to back, believed to be the only one like it in the world. This event will start on Thursday 27th May 2010 and hope to finish 10 days later.

The reason. We live in North Wiltshire which is a busy military aircraft area and frequently see the C17s flying into Lyneham to repatriate the soldiers killed in Afganistan. One of the cyclists, Dave, is ex-RAF and one of the support team is ex-Royal Navy with family links to the Army. The bike ride was always going to happen and when deciding what would be a worthy cause, the answer seemed obvious, 'Help for Heroes' (H4H) is that cause.
