Story
Thank you for visiting our fundraising page.
This page has been set up in memory of our good friend Ahmed 'Dill' Osman, who suddenly passed away on 7th October 2007 aged just 32.
Always up for a challenge, and never one to moan about having to deal with diabetes, we thought it would be fitting to raise some money in his memory for Diabetes UK by hiking Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon - ALL IN JUST 24 HOURS!!!
The challenge, that will take place between Friday 13th and Saturday 14th June 2008, will see Neil Riley, Jon Woolnough, Gary Broadhurst ,Jim Bailey ,Clare and Paul Marshall and Gillian Hawkes (and hopefully some other of Dill's friends) tackle the three highest peaks in England, Scotland and Wales - totalling over 3400 metres in height!!! As you can imagine this challenge involves a lot of driving and luckily for us, Justin Edwards and Steve Broadhurst have agreed to join us as drivers.
Dill was a great friend to many, many people and we miss him every day. His sudden and tragic death left a huge gap in all of our lives.
Please give generously in his memory in order to help others with diabetes.
Many thanks for your support.
