Hello,
Thanks for coming to support our Bikram Yoga Challenge!
A team of 6 brave individuals are taking on the hot and sweaty task of doing a Bikram Yoga class every day for 30 days all in the name of charity.
For everyone one who has never experienced the hot art of Bikram Yoga this is what it entails; a room is heated to 40 degrees celcius with 40% humidity. You then power your way through 26 postures over 90 minutes, finishing the class looking as though you have jumped in a bath fully clothed (but not smelling as fresh!!) It is an intense physical and mental challenge, requiring focus and determination. It also requires getting to class at 6.30am on weekdays. Many of the top sports stars do it, including Andy Murray.
James and Philippa are supporting Refugee Council, and donations will go towards their Christmas appeal to help vulnerable and traumatised refugees.
We started the challenge in November, and will finish on 10 December - Human Rights Day! So please dig deep and give as much or as little as you can!
Other members of the team are also supporting Alzheimers Society. Check out our other page: http://www.justgiving.com/bikvemberalzheimerssociety
Your support and words of encouragement throughout the next month will keep us going.......
Thanks- Philippa M, James, Alyse, Andrew, and Pip D.
We also want to say a special thanks to Hotbikramyoga.co.uk and yogahaven.co.uk for offering us the chance to practice in their London studios.
