On The 19th November 2011, Nicole Reith, James Sammon, Hayleigh Scholes and Honey Shazad (AKA Team Stompy) Will Take Part In A 300ft Bungee Jump At Salford Quay In Manchester to raise money for our chosen charity. E.g.( JNHH77 £1 )  The Ben Manning Music Foundation is a family run music orientated charity based in West Yorkshire. The charity was founded in early February 2011 by the family and friends of the late Ben Manning. Ben Manning went missing after a night out with friends in Wakefield on 22nd January 2011.  A widescale search for Ben was conducted with strong support from the local community. The exhausting search lasted over 11 days until Ben's body was eventually found on 2nd February 2011.  He had tragically died accidentally.     The family's determination to find Ben safe during the search was inspirational to everyone, as well as the amount of help given by the general public, local businesses and the support shown on the  <a href="http://www.facebook.com/home.php?sk=group_123975257672254&ap=1#!/home.php?sk=group_123975257672254&ap=1" target="_blank">Facebook Page</a> with more than 10,000 posts was truly overwhelming. Ben’s tragic death and the enormous support from over 22,000 people within the local community inspired the Manning family to set up the charity in his memory.  Ben had a passionate love for music and played in a band himself and the charity aims to providefinancial assistance to young people wanting to develop their interest in music through the provision of musical instruments, lessons, recording sessions etc for those who through lack of funds would not be able to access participation in  music otherwise.   Each team member is paying for their own jump so that every penny raised in sponsorship goes to The Ben Manning Music Foundation.   Check out the pictures of the members of TEAM STOMPY. How the foundation conducts itself is very much on the community edge. There are people out there that require assistance but don’t know who or where to go to. The foundation hopes to relieve those individuals, groups or organisations in financial need, hardship or distress, in particular by granting funds for the purchase of musical instruments and/or studio and rehearsal time; and to promote, improve, develop and maintain public education in and appreciation of the art and science of music in all its aspects by such charitable means.   We will ensure that all our work is fully of the public benefit in such ways that every person who joins our scholarship program will at some point be performing for the public to see where their money has gone too. The foundation in short is here for those who need financial help to get that 1st step on the ladder. Apart of what we want to do to improve music education is introduce a video on demand service. This service will be accessed free to the public at any time and at their own pace. It can be done in the home, or in the school as the video will be developed to not only teach individuals but groups of people at any one time. The foundation uses the funds it raises from the public to ensure that you as a private citizen gets to see where every penny is spent at the time it is used. We continue to broadcast all our uses of private money from the public in forms of social media and our own website. We endeavour to ensure that all our scholarship students are fully protected by the charity, and we will continue to ensure that all our public efforts and public commitments are fully obtained.
