We exist to give a lifetime of support to the wider Army family, regardless of where or when a soldier served. We act swiftly and efficiently in providing support in the form of grants to those who find themselves in real need. We also provide grants to charities who support the wider Army family.

Story

The Bataan Memorial Death March is an arduous 26.2 mile marathon, through the high altitude terrain of the New Mexico desert. Competitors must endure the high temperature, at high altitude, on soft sand and with 35Ib daysacks plus water.

As we were going to be in Texas for our pre-deployment training for Iraq anyway, the Battery Commander Major Jon Harding decided to present the challenge of the Bataan Death March to the soldiers of 30 Battery (Rogers's Company), the following individuals have risen to the challenge:

Team Event - 2Lt Eze, WO2 Dawkins, Bdr McClarty, LBdr Jenkins, LBdr Palmer and Gnr Burns.

Individual Event - Maj Harding, BSM Torr and Bdr White.

We have been out collecting money in the local cities, towns and villages with great success (you may have seen us on the Channel 4 News on Friday 7th March). Any donation will be well received, for what is such a worthwhile charity and a challenging event.
