We fund research and support families to find a cure to Batten disease

Story

24 members of 34 (Seringapatam) Bty RA are attempting to navigate the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales in just 24 hours, including travelling in between. Starting at the highest, Ben Nevis at 1344 meters the groups will travel down to Cumbria to tackle Scaffel Pike at 978 meters before hopping back into the transport for the long journey to Wales to ascend Snowdon at 1085meters.

The reason we have chosen to put ourselves through this arduous event is to raise vital funds for the Battens Disease Families Association. A serving member of our Battery and personal friend to many of the guys in it knows only to well the devastation this terrible illness can bring. His 5 year old son is in the terrible grips of one of many forms of Battens disease. With the help of events like ours and many others around the country we hope to make a difference in beating this evil.
