Story
I was inspired to take on this particularly tough challenge by a friend who has overcome a far greater personal challenge of his own, an 18 month battle against cancer.
Matti was diagnosed with bowel cancer in April 2012, which was a huge shock for everyone who knows him. He personally credits The Royal Marsden hospital for being a major reason why he is alive today but given all he has been through, I'm sure his friends and family would also credit his great courage, positivity and resilience for this amazing recovery. He truly is an inspiration.

Matti has committed to a series of challenges of his own in support of The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity and I will be joining him and others as he takes on The Ridgeway in March. On a personal level, I am delighted that I can help Matti give back by fundraising for this great cause and helping them continue their vital work. Matti is not just a friend but also the manager of our football team, an important striking partner on the pitch and a great personalty in the pub!
I am very grateful for any donation you can make and I will do my very best to complete every last step!
Thanks,
Derek
