Fundraising is something i have been involved with since my son was born prematurely in 2003.
In previous years i have raised money for the Premature Baby Charity - Bliss and Sheffield childrens hospital.
This year i am raising money for Weston Park Hospital as it is somewhere that i feels deserves it.
Both my Mum and my wifes Mum battled with Cancer and were treated here.
More recently a good friend and work colleague has battled with Cancer and been treated by the wonderful staff at Weston Park.
This year i am pushing myself further than ever before.
In April i will be taking part in the Sheffield Half Marathon(13 miles)
In May i shall be doing the Windermere Full Marathon(26 miles)
And last but not least i will endeavor to climb the 3 highest peaks in the UK over 24hrs, Ben Nevis, Scaffell Pike and Snowdon with a work colleague Neil Martin.
After the final event i think i may go into hibernation until Christmas!
I hope you can help me to raise money for this very worthy cause.
Many Thanks
Dave Stannard
