The Three Peaks Challenge is a 24 hour challenge to scale Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Mount Snowdon.

Between 4:25pm Friday 11 June and 4:20pm Saturday 12 June, the five of us did indeed scale all three peaks.

Thanks to great weather, a mad scouse minibus driver and a bit of grit and determination, we did manage to complete the challenge, with all 5 of us finishing within the 24 hours target.

Notable mentions for Donald who finished with 30 minutes to spare - it was he who spurred us all on to achieve the target. And to Johnny, who nursed some very sore ankles over the finishing line after dropping off the pace, somehow managed to find enough energy to jog the last km or so, to dip in with 5 mins to spare. Tom, Richard and myself came in with 10 mins to spare.

Thank you for your incredibly kind donations - both on and off line - it really makes the effort worthwhile.

My work, Legal & General, has kindly matched the first £750 of the amount raised - which is excellent news. Between the 5 of us we are close to raising £8,000.
