Managed by Save the Rhino International the 3 Peaks 3 Weeks Challenge is an all-female climbing event which aims to summit three of Africa’s highest peaks in three weeks and raise money and awareness for the three key issues currently facing Africa today; environment, education and health.
In line with the UN Millennium Goals, the climbs of Mount Kenya, Mount Meru and Mount Kilimanjaro aim to raise awareness for these peak issues and to support and encourage grassroots organizations in Kenya and Tanzania who are focused on Africa’s environment, education and health concerns.
The first The first 3 Peaks 3 Weeks Challenge took place in January 2007 and is now an annual event. The 3 Peaks 3 Weeks Challenge is a community driven event with all funds raised going directly to the three peak issues facing Africa today
