3 Peaks for Children in Ghana - CompassionUK · 17 May 2009

We're a Christian child development charity that sees beyond poverty to the incredible potential God has placed in every child and family. Partnering with more than 8,900 local churches in 29 countries, we work to release children from poverty in Jesus’ name.

Story

By conquering the three highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales respectively within just 24 hours, we aim to raise funds for Compassion's work in addressing pressing child development needs in impoverished communities in Ghana. By doing so, we purpose to bring hope to many families with so little to hold on to.

The funds raised by the 2008 Three Peaks Team helped to fund the first Computer Centre in the Ofankor region in Ghana, which now serves over 200 children, giving them hope for the future. We're very excited to see the impact that this year's funds will make!

Yes, we may be a little mad to willingly do this challenge, but for these Ghanaians, extreme poverty is a challenge every day!
