We Develop lakeside primary healthcare to improve the lives of remote communities
Story
On September 25th the 7 of us will be attempting the 3 Peak Challenge. It involves climbing the tallest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales (Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon) in 24 hours, the highlight of which is the Scafell Pike Climb in the dark! The distance walked is around 25 miles, the height climbed is around 10,000 feet, and the distance to be driven between the mountains is some 450 miles.
We have taken up this challenge to try and raise money for The Chauncy Maples Malawi Trust, a UK Charity, that is raising £2m to renovate the Chauncy Maples, Africa's oldest motor ship, into a primary health clinic on Lake Malawi. The renovation will allow the Chauncy Maples to serve 500,000 of the world's poorest people who have little or no access to medicine.
Any contribution you can make to this very deserving cause is hugely appreciated!

Chauncy Maples Malawi Trust is developing vessel-led solutions to bring greatly improved healthcare to isolated communities on Lake Malawi. This will lead to increased school attendance, fewer working days lost to preventable illness, and better life chances for these communities.
