3 Peaks Challenge · 27 May 2015

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We are a group of four friends who have embarked on a mega challenge - both of fitness, endurance and cheerfulness!  We have been training for a few months, getting out walking and climbing in rain, wind, sleet, snow and some sun!  We plan to start the first Peak Ben Nevis on Wednesday 27th May at 5pm, finishing the third Peak Snowdon by 5pm on the following day.  Supported by our back-up crew, food providers and general moral support team (our hubbies) we are determined to give the 24-hour target our best shot.  PLEASE SUPPORT US!

Parkinsons affects 1 in every 500 people in the UK.  Mich's mum (Sally) is one of those people.  Sally is doing brilliantly - still a 'supermum' and 'supergrannie' and the best cook in South Wales!  Mich and her lovely friends Chandy, Kim and Angela have decided to use their personal challenge to raise awareness and funds for Parkinsons UK which can touch any one of us or our families.  This charity is making major progress not only in research into this much misunderstood condition, but also in raising awareness among the UK general public.

Please support our terrific team - the more you donate, the more we will feel spurred on up those hills (well, mountains actually but makes us feel better if we call them big hills!).
