On 9th July 2011 a group of us will attempt to climb Great Britain's highest peaks in a 24 Hour period.
The first being Ben Nevis which stands at a whopping 1344 metres and is the largest climb in Scotland. The second ascent is Scafell Pike which is 978 metres and is England's highest mountain. Finally we shall attempt Snowdon which stands at 1085 metres and is the tallest peak in Wales.
The challenge will start in the car park at Ben Nevis at 8am on 9th July and we must finish before 8am the following day.
We are trying to raise £1500 for the Newbury and District Cancer Care Trust which looks after local cancer patients and also provides excellent facilities at Newbury District Hospital in the form of the Rainbow Rooms.
