Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Through the pages of the Oldham Evening Chronicle I have charted a 12 month journey through throat cancer under the banner of "Keep Smiling".
Feedback from the articles has been very positive and the good people of Oldham and beyond have been so generous with their encouragement and good wishes.
They have followed the path through radiotherapy, a premature all-clear and ultimately surgery with a partial laryngectomy after which I am now eating normally again and I am back at work with a whisper for a voice which the Professor expects to get stronger.
The 72 holes to be played at our home club Werneth (Oldham) on Saturday July 4 2015 is our way of saying thank you to all the brilliant professionals who have been involved in my treatment.
Our fellow members will be playing in a special competition on the same day and we hope to have other fundraising activities going on in the club house and on the putting green.
Come on down - and Keep Smiling!
