My story

June 2008

Yup, we are serious! Over a long lunch we made the crazy decision to take on the 4 Desert Challenge. Whether we will ever be able to move again after we have completed them all is another matter! No sisters have ever completed them, and we are probably about to find out why!! Please dig deep and help us raise as much as possible for Macmillan Cancer.

The Challenge: The 4 Deserts is a series of seven-day, 250-kilometer (150 mile) self-supported races across the largest and most forbidding deserts on Earth, carrying all of our own equipment, food and clothes (weighing about 20 lbs!!).

They are the Sahara - 26th October 2008, Atacama Crossing - 29th March 2009, Gobi - June 2010 and finally The Last Desert, Antartica - Nov 2010.

Why: Unfortunately, 1 in 3 people in their lives will be affected by Cancer one way or another. Tragically, Daddy lost his short battle with the horrible disease in August last year and we are doing this challenge in memory of him.

Donating through this site is simple, completely secure and Macmillan Cancer Support receives your money faster. Also, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you. We have paid the entry fees so that every penny donated will go directy to Macmillan.
