My story

*** Would you pay Gemma to zip it for a day?? **

Zip it

On Saturday 28th November 2009, Gemma will be carrying out a fully supervised and adjudicated sponsored silence to raise money for her favourite charity – The Duke of Edinburgh Award, which is helping underprivileged children across the UK equip themselves with skills for life.  If you would like to sponsor this huge feat (as we know what Gem’s mouth is like) then please donate below.

*** 4DIDMOROCCO***

Yes, we've done it! We've cycled and ran through some of the toughest terrains and come out fighting.

The challenge wasn't without it's casualties, Rich injured himself early on though this didn't stop him and with a lot of paracetamol he battled on. We're a determined bunch and Rich wasn't the only one with difficulties. James has a terrible knack of picking up punctures, on day 2 during a time trial he gave up on the broken bike and ran the final 4km.

Thank you to everyone for supporting us this far, we're nearing are fundraising target but we will be carrying on up until Christmas so watch this space.

***BOGOF Fundraising***

From 8th - 12th October we ran a book sale with our stock kindly donated by colleagues at Amey raising £189.95. The remaining 500 unsold books are being donated to a local Oxford charity.

*** The Oompa Loompa Did It!!! ***

On Sunday 20th Sept Ken completed the Berlin marathon in a respectable 5hr 20min in scorching 27 degree heat.

Welcome to the 4-do-Morocco fundraising page!

Over the coming months, we will be dedicating a large part of our year raising money for the Duke of Edinburgh’s Charity, a charity that gives thousands of young people real opportunities that will change their lives and afford them privileges that we perhaps sometimes have taken for granted.  This will culminate in the High Atlas Challenge, a 4 day cycle, trek and 4x4 journey across the Atlas Mountains in Morocco!!

This is the challenge of a life time, and we intend to fulfil the hefty task in the coming 8 months of making it happen and hitting our target.

So please get involved, sponsor us and keep your eyes peeled for forthcoming events which are going to be a lot of fun, and for a fantastic cause!
