Story

Friends, parents, staff and students from Sandringham School are planning an assault of the legendary 'Three Peaks' on 29th June this summer, to raise money for school funds and Great Ormond Street Hospital.

In a moment of combined weakness, Mike and Mark Tullberg, Peter Armstrong, Roger Duncombe and our dedicated chauffeur Janis Apsa all agreed to attempt the legendary "Three Peaks Challenge" in 24 hours.

If that doesn't sound very impressive, it involves around 22 miles of walking, (not far off a Marathon) 11,200ft of ascent, sadly 11,200ft of decent and about 500 miles of driving between Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon. We tried to estimate how much "float" time there would be between walking and driving in the 24 hours......and there isn't any!......sleep......I don't think so!

Ageing bodyparts and speed cameras willing, we hope the pain will be worth it and we would really appreciate your support, however small.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Friends of Sandringham School will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Thanks so much for your support.
