***UPDATE*** The squad made it the full distance - 21 miles through freezing rain, heavy chop, and a busted rowlock. It was an epic effort from all concerned so please help turn our aching limbs and blisters into much needed funding for the Richmond Environment Trust. Hit the link below - anything you can give greatly appreciated.  ---- Thank you for visiting the JustGiving page for Four Men & a U-Boat.   We are Adrian Drury, Caspar Meyer, James Fishbourne and Charlie Drury and we are rowing 21 miles on Saturday September 17 2011 from the Millennium Dome to Ham, Richmond.   Yes, you read that right. Rowing. Not taking a taxi or the district line. Rowing.   And we are doing it in 120 year old double-skull Thames Skiff by the name of Meagan. She's a beautiful boat, but an old lady. While she's held up well in practice, she spends most of her time as a film extra nowadays and 3 and half hours carrying four lads is a big ask for any lady.   We are fortunately doing this as part of the Great River Race, a unique annual event where the Thames is shut for a day to let crazy teams like ours try their hand at making it the full distance before the tide turns. You can find out more about the race at http://www.greatriverrace.co.uk   Most importantly however we are rowing for the Richmond Environment Trust, a brilliant charity that provides much needed protection to the wildlife, landscape and historic buildings along the banks of the Thames, as well as putting on events that connects children with learning difficulties with the local environment.    Please give a little - or even better give a lot! - and help turn our blisters on Saturday into much needed funding for this brilliant charity.
