The Big Bike Ride · 23 March 2009

At YBTC, we walk beside anyone impacted by a brain tumour diagnosis through every step of their journey. Our local support brings comfort, care, and hope to families across Yorkshire- while our local research and investment in 'pump priming' brings us closer to kinder treatments and a cure.

Story

Update 17th May: What kind of twisted mind puts 400m of cobble stones at the end of a 100km bike ride? Anyway we did it! With no casualties and 4 punctures (all on one wheel). Despite the rain, the aching bones, it was all worth it. Love to all who sponsored us. It's been emotional. Thanks to Carol at Andrea's gift for organising this great event - you give people hope and that is the greatest gift. AM

Thanks for visiting our fundraising page.

Pete Lambert, a much loved father, husband, son and friend sadly passed away in March 2008 after a prolonged battle with brain cancer. All those who had the honour of knowing him, shared his determination to find a cure for this terrible disease, against which he battled so courageously.

We (Pete's band of brothers) will be cycling 100 km from Wetherby to Scarborough for the charity Andrea's Gift (which is at the forefront of Brain tumour research) on May 16th 2009. We consider the loss of feeling below the waist and some minor chafing to be a small price to pay for this worthy cause.

Please give generously.
