Story
~UPDATE~
I have just returned from one of the craziest trips ever! After having been thrown off a horse, attacked by savage mosquitoes, been hit by a bad dose of diarrhoea, had death threats by Bedouins, been left stranded in the desert for over 4 hours, stuck under a coach for some of it in a vain attempt to help fix it; AND in the process almost breaking an arm when the axle fell off! You can safely say I have definitely sweated for your donations. Bear in mind that I haven’t even got to how hard it was climbing up that killer mountain! It took over 4 hours to climb and it was a gruelling climb. The experience was definitely a challenge.
During the hard times the thought of honouring my cousin’s memory kept me going. The idea of letting my sponsors down and the thought of helping families and individuals through difficult times meant that I never gave up.
So now it’s your turn to help contribute towards this worthy cause. Believe you me you’ve got the easy bit. I still need to reach my target so please donate now. Anything you can donate will be greatly appreciated and will ensure that the struggle I went through was worth it.
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.In March 2000 aged at just 28 my cousin Sayed Shakil Kadiri who was like an older brother to me tragically passed away. Having just begun his career as a Quantity Surveyor, he had his whole life ahead of him. Sayed Shakeel passed away unexpectedly within a few days of being diagnosed with Lymphoma Cancer. By the time he was diagnosed it was too late for medical interception.
A rare diamond and unbelievably caring person was taken from us, a pain which is impossible to convey; thus it is in his memory I plan to scale Mount Sinai on a hot Egyptian Summer’s day in order to raise awareness and funds for The Lymphoma Association and Ebrahim College.
The funds raised will help those who may one day feel that pain, I hope no-one does. The Lymphoma Association provides support and information without charge and depends upon people like you for donations. So the next time you blow £30 on a takeaway or a new top just think of how that money can help many people who are dealing with devastating news. Your support could help give them solace.
So please inform all your friends and colleagues and tell them to spread the word; let’s make a great start to your day and change the lives of many people by sparing two minutes and donating generously.
Many thanks for your time.
