£2,316.61 raised for London Marathon.....and now hoping to raise another £700 for Chester Marathon

You'd think someone would be happy raising over £2,000 for charity after doing the London Marathon....and I was thrilled to bits with the amount (you and) I raised.....but that's obviously not the case and I've decided to try and raise more for the Round Table Children's Wish in memory of my gorgeous brother Simon.

Simon, died of cancer in 1999, and there still isn't a day goes by when I don't think about him and miss him.

I guess our family was fortunate (in a way) in that Simon was part of our lives for 38 years....sadly, some families lose loved ones at a much younger age. Hence the choice of charity.

The Round Table Childrens Wish Foundation are a small charity who make wishes come true for children with life threatening illnesses. This means that kids who may not make it to adulthood get the chance to really enjoy themselves with their families and make their life a little bit happier for a little while.

So....I managed to complete the London Marathon...and it was just the BEST day. Such a great atmosphere and such a feeling of achievement...that I want to do it all over again. I did London in 4:01...and it's that one minute that has driven me on to enter the Chester Marathon on 9 October.

The aim now is to raise £3,000 in total....so, after raising £2,316.61 doing London, I hope to raise the extra (you work it out...maths was never my strong point) taking part in the Chester Marathon.

So if you've sponsored me already...THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH, but if you feel the urge to dig a tad deeper, I honestly won't be offended.
