Thank you for taking a look at my JustGiving page.

My name is Alan Bamber and I have recently returned from a solo ‘Five Nations’ bike ride in aid of MS Research. Starting on 14th June from , I cycled to , took the ferry across the channel to , and then did a circuit taking in parts of , , the and before returning to . The total distance was 633 miles. This would have held no fears for a young or experienced cyclist, but I am 72 years old and this was my first ever cycling tour, having taken up cycling as a leisure activity less than two years ago. I planned and made the trip on my own, with no back-up or support of any kind. It was a great experience.

I did the ride to try to raise a little money for MS-Research, a charity based at doing excellent work trying to find effective treatments and cures for Multiple Sclerosis. Many very generous people have supported me with donations, for which I am extremely grateful. There is still time for others to contribute if they wish to support this admirable cause.

I think you will find donating through JustGiving to be simple and secure. Your details are safe and they won't sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to MS-Research and make sure any Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s an efficient way to donate, saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
