Peter and I are setting off on a trip of a life time.  We fly to Ethiopia on the 10th of January 2009 with the aim of crossing Africa on bikes (push bikes not motor bikes) in just 3 months going through Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi, Zambia, Botswana, Namibia and ending up in South Africa.  We have spent the last two years training for this as we are looking at cycling just over 5500 miles.  We plan to cover around 70 miles a day, 6 days a week with a rest day every 7. We have funded the trip ourselves so every penny raised will go straight to Overgate Hospice.

We are looking to raise just £4000.  This will keep the hospice going for just 1 day.  I have chosen Overgate Hospice because they looked after my late Aunty Lily last year and I was able to experience first hand the excellent work they do and I would like to give something back.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Overgate Hospice gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
