Story

Last year, I ran a few marathons to raise cash for two great charities. This year, I want to take it further.

I plan to run 52 marathons in 2011, averaging one a week.

With great help from Riptide gym on Brighton seafront, a great number of them will be done on the (boring!) treadmill.

Essentially, my year will not change. I will continue to work full time, cycle to work, play football and live a normal life. Not to mention getting married and continuing with my MA! But I will do a marathon a week - and each and every one of them will be under four hours. If it's not, it doesn't count!

This is little compared to the work that the fantastic guys at PassionItOn do, and the great work they do at Hurstwood Park Neurological Centre in Haywards Heath, my other charity.

When I get more information on runs etc, I will update this.

I also have a website - www.52marathons.co.uk - that wil go live soon. I will document my runs, blog weekly and thank those who sponsor me.

Do email me for more information - kjb33@sussex.ac.uk

Cheers

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
