Story

Hello and thanks for visiting my page

While thinking of a silly challenge to put myself through in the hope of raising some money for a good cause, one of my friends who works for St Mark's had the perfect solution - ride a bicycle 54 miles from London to Brighton. Doing that by itself is a fair old distance, but we thought it would be a fun idea to do it on vintage BMX bikes from the 1980's! With their 20inch wheels and no gears they are very unsuitable for such an adventure, but it does mean the day will be more of a challenge and any sponsors should definitely get their money's worth - I'm having a race plate made up for the event, which will include the name of everyone that makes a donation (anyone wishing to place a logo contact me for 'advertising' rates!)

St Mark's do a lot of great work so please give whatever you can using the links on this page - all donations are secure and if you click the gift aid option they'll get the money that would normally go to the tax man. In addition, the company I work for will also match the first £500 of donations made so your support will go even further

Many thanks

Griff

PS before I attempt this event, I'll also be riding 30 miles around Worcester for the British Heart Foundation - link here if you'd like to know more http://www.justgiving.com/30milesonabmx
