Story

The Sammy Hagar fans among you will no doubt be chuckling at my oh-so-clever charity title. That said, I am conscious that there actually aren't that many Sammy Hagar fans, so for those people I shall let you figure it out yourself.

For my next fund-raising jaunt I thought I'd try for something a little more taxing than letting my beard grow, so I have decided to stop smoking for 55 days (hence the title up top) from January 1st 2009. Those of you who know me well will know that aside from not buying CDs or games each month, this is probably the hardest thing I can do so rest assured that any money you donate will be well earned by me...

As with last years beard-growing, I am donating the money to the MS Trust so I would be so thankful if you could dig deep and sponsor me for this.

As mentioned, it all kicks off on New Year's Day and I am planning on doing a daily blog type thing (which, I am guessing, will probably contain more than a few profanities the first couple of weeks) on my Splinter Room website - http://splinterroom.wordpress.com/ .

Once again, thanks very much for donating - your money is going to a very worthwhile charity.
