Hello, thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page!
This page is supporting Martin Watts in his latest insane challenge. The plan is to start at Maryhill Road in Glasgow at 7am on Monday the 16th of December and end up in Edinburgh Quay by 7pm that day! That's a whopping 56 miles in one day! Unbelievably Martin has some fellow runners joining him on the day, Richard Sims and David Robb.
They are completing this challenge to raise money for Hilton in the Community Foundation, which is an amazing grant giving foundation. There is not enough space on this page to list all the different charities which HCF have gave grants to over the time as there truly is 100's. All of the grants go to local charities all over the UK and the money is raised by Hilton team members through various ways, and this is a perfect example!
Martin's partner charity which shall receive half of the money raised will be CHAS (Children's Hospice Assosciation Scotland.) CHAS are an amazing charity, they have 2 Children's hospices in Scotland. Rachel's house and Robin's house, as well as the hospices they help families out at home as well. The money is used for the upkeep of these services.
So please everybody dig deep, donate some money for these brave runners, and remember, if the 56 miles isn't impressive enough of a challenge, it's during December in Scotland!!!
